Jung is gone - our beloved boy...

Thank you so much for running a no-kill shelter. You are ultimately the reason Jung came into our lives. his contribution to our happiness is incalculable. You all are our heroes. Keep saving dogs and cats...they deserve so much better...you give unwanted pets a chance....even dogs so "unwanted" as our beautiful Jung. The people who passed him up - passed up the ultimate gem.

Grandmother and Granddaughter Team Raise Money for SPCA

During the month of March, Helen McCann and her granddaughter Chelsea ran a number of rafflets to benefit the SPCA. They sold tickets at various places earning over $1000. Due to their efforts, Wal-Mart graciously matched their total dollar for dollar. Thanks to Helen, Chelsea and Wal-Mart, the SPCA received a very generous donation.

Our Staff Makes Happy Endings

The SPCA's new kennel manager, Jm Monheim is a welcome addition to our family of dedicated staff and volunteers. "The job, although demanding, is very rewarding," says Jim; "I really enjoy working with the people and animals here." After being hired, Jim adopted "Jackie," a cat from the shelter. "Jackie" was found at Ried's Food Barn being kicked by teenagers. After being treated for a concussion, "Jackie" still has a slight head tilit. It is apparent that she has no idea there's anything wrong with her, as she races up the stairs with Jim's family's other two cats and two dogs.
